Editing Blog

Today is October 14th. In class today we learned basic class procedures along with editing tips and camera basics. We started off by discussing the class procedures. In order to use a camera you must fill out a rent form. The camera must be back the next day. For filming on campus, you must have your school I.D along with a film pass.
Next we learned how to operate the Cannon Vixia, the camera we will be using for all of our film related projects. Were taught how to turn the camera off, basic zooms and how to put in an SD card. Following that we were taught how to charge the camera. The charger needed to charge the camera is provided with the equipment we can rent. All we have to do to charge it is plug it in.

Another included piece of equipment we learned how to use is the tripod. To attach the tripod to the camera you must first remove the cap of the tripod. You can do this by using the spring loaded lever located of the side of the cap. After this, you must click the camera into position. To tighten you must screw the bottom. When the tripod is in place you will be able to take a handful of useful shots. The tripod will allow you to smoothly pan and tilt. It will also slow you to take Dutch shots. Along with being able to able steady the camera.

Later in the presentation, we learned how to edit on the computers provided. We must use an app pinnacle studios. To edit export film off the SD card. We must go into the DC IN folder and search for your footage. We must fully dump the footage onto our computer. To begin editing we must you must click import and click the plus sign. Then begin editing.
